You Can Avoid the Fall! 1 Samuel 11:1 – 1. Be Where You Are Supposed to Be! To God – to His Name – To His Word – His Kingdom! To Your family, If you’ve come from a heritage of hard working, honest, Godly people!- To believers! Not to the world – Not to the unbeliever – 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 James 1:14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 4. When The Word Comes, It Comes with Conviction and Grace! 1) Reminds You of God and His Goodness! • Position – “I Anointed You King over Israel.” 2) Exposing Your Sin and Showing Sin’s Devastation! • You Have Shown Contempt for the Word of the Lord! 3) The Word Comes Reminding of Sin’s Consequences. 10-12 2. When the Word Comes, it Comes With A Choice! • Humble Yourself James 4:1-10 and 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is Faithful to Forgive Us Our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! • Receive Whatever Discipline God Chooses to Give!
