GET REAL WITH MYSELF I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants”. - Luke 15:18-19 2. GET REAL ABOUT OUR SIN “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.' But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment” -Matthew 5:21-22 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” -Matthew 5:27-28 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” -1 John 1:9 “You felt secure in your wickedness, you said, ‘No one sees me'; your wisdom and your knowledge led you astray, and you said in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one besides me.'” -Isaiah 47:10 “But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.
