How We Press On Through Trials!

Pressing On Through Trials! Mark 4:35 and 2 Corinthians 4:6-18

1. In Christ, Your Journey Is Certain!
Jesus makes certain promises about the journey!

The Promise of Fellowship

Revelation 3:20 'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

The Promise of Ministry!

Mark 1:17 And Jesus said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men." 18 Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.

The Promise of Godly Character!

Romans 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;

The Promise of Rest!

Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.

The Promise of Heaven!

John 6:39 "This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. 40 "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life , and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."

Principle – I will Not Forget The Promises About My Journey's End!

2. In the Journey You Have Tribulation – But Jesus Is Lord Over the Tribulation!

Two Principles!

You Will Face Tribulation, Trial, Temptation and Disappointments in Your Life!
Never Forget that Jesus Christ Cares For You and Is Lord Over Your Life!

John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."

James 1:2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, NASU

1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you;

3. In Tribulation, You Must Believe!

We Believe – We Press On! 2 Corinthians 4:6-10

We Believe! – Press On! – 2 Corinthians 3:16-18

We Believe – We Press On! 1 Peter 5:6-10

1. Humble Yourselves Under God's Mighty Hand!
2. Cast All Your Anxiety On Him! – He cares For You!
3. Be Sober and Be Alert – Your Enemy is about!

Who Does the Lion Pounce on? The vunerable, The weak, the isolated! And When does the Head of the Pride Pounce? - When the Prey is Down!

4. Resist Him Firm In Your Faith!
5. Know that You Are Not Alone in Your Trial!
6. The Journey's End is Near! Eternal Glory! God Perfecting, Confirming, Strengthening and Establishing You!
