Gal 6:7-10 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. 10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. VIDEO: "A Game of Hope" 1) Man reaps what a man sows What did you see being displayed, or planted, or sown into these kids lives? Prov 11:17-19 17The merciful man does himself good, But the cruel man does himself harm. 18The wicked earns deceptive wages, But he who sows righteousness gets a true reward. 19He who is steadfast in righteousness will attain to life, And he who pursues evil will bring about his own death. J ohn 12:24-25 "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25" He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. 2) A man reaps more than a man sows 2 Cor 9:6-7 6Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Mark 4, Luke 8, Matt 13, “seed that fell in the good soil produced 30, 60, 100 greater fruit” 3) A Man reaps longer than a man sows Ps 112:1-2 How blessed is the Man who fear the Lord, who finds great delight when he obeys God's commands. 2 His children will be mighty(powerful) in the land. Because he is honest, his children will be blessed. 4) Don't give up - the harvest is coming v9 So let's not get tired or grow weary of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. 1 Cor 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. Heb 12:1-3 For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. 5) Lets capture the ministry opportunities v10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should always do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. Heb 10:24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, |
