1 John 1:3-4

Four Great Truths to Communicate About Life as a Christ-Follower:

1) It's about grace, not performance

Ephesians 2:8-9 “ For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

Romans 5:6-11

2) It's about relationship not religion 

John 1:12 “ But as many as received Christ, to them He gave the right to become sons and daughters of God…” 

Psalm 139 

Luke 8:43-48

Luke 8:47 “When the woman saw that she had not escaped notice…”

3) It's about my future not my past

Psalm 103:12 “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”

Isaiah 43:25 “I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins.”

Jonah 3:1 “And the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time.”

4) It's not just about what Christ saves me from, but what He saves me for!

Acts 13:36 “When David had served God's purposes in his own generation, he died, was buried with his fathers, and his body decayed.”

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”

Other Things You Can Do:

1) Pray is powerful, and most people desire prayer. Ask!
2) Be honest about your own struggles, but how Christ impacts your daily life
3) Retell & apply great biblical stories
