Loving Well!

Ephesians 5:1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; 2 and walk in love , just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. NASB

Colossians 1:27 – Calls the riches of the glory of the mystery of godliness – Christ in you, the hope of glory!

1. Love Does Not Throw Stones!

John 8:1-11- The Woman Caught in the Very Act!

Matthew 5:43-48 -

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 2. Love Keeps On Restoring Straying Brothers and Sisters!

Matthew 18:21 Then Peter came and said to Him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" 22 Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. NASU

Matthew 26:70-74

• “I do not know what You are talking about!”
• And again He denied it with an oath, saying “I do not know the man!”
• Then He began to curse and swear, “I do not know the man!”

And immediately a rooster crowed! Luke says in 22:61 says that just at this last denial, Jesus happened to be close by, for He turned and looked at Peter. The word says that Peter went out and wept bitterly!

Romans 12:19 Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord. 20 "BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD." 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. NASU

What does this look like in our community? What is it supposed to look

When asked in Matthew 22:37 what was the greatest commandment Jesus said to the one who asked, "'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND .' 38 "This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' 40 "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets." NASU
