No Greater Example of Life Change than the Conversion of the Demoniac in . . . Mark 5:1-13 1. This Man was a Dead Man Walking! Ephesians 2:1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Am ong them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. 2. This Man was Transformed By the Love of Christ! 7-14 John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. Notice the Impact of God's Hand in this man's life! 15-19 Ephesians 4-10 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ ( by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship (prduct), created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. 4. Sit At the Feet of Jesus! Luke 10:38 -42 – Listen to the Word of the Lord!
Romans 8:26-30
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. 2. Clothe Yourself With His Righteousness! Zechariah 3:1-5 Revelation 19:7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready." 8 It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. 3. Be Transformed By Renewing Your Mind! Romans 12:10-2 1 Peter 1:13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action , keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, 15 but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; 16 because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY." 1 Timothy 4:7b Train yourself for the purpose of godliness; 8 for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
