Our Higher Calling:
A Life that Worships God Alone!

Mike Fritscher, Pastor

Our Higher Calling:

  • A Life of Worship
  • A Life of Giving
  • A Life that is Connected
  • A Life that's Sent
  • A Life That Honors

A Life that Worships God Alone! Job 1 and 2

Job 1:21 He said, " Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked I shall return there. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD."

1. Make Your Life Your Worship of God!

Worship is a life that imitates God!

Romans 12:1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

As a Worshipper of God You Reflect God

  • In the Way You Live Before God!
  • In the Way You Live Before Others!

Job 23:11-12 "My foot has held fast to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside. 12 "I have not departed from the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

Job 31

2. Respond to Every Circumstance With Worship to God!

Job 2:9-10 Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die!" 10 But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

  • The Longer We Live the More Loss We Face!
  • Do Not Be Defined by the Mouth of Worldly Thought!
  • Accept Good and Bad from the Hand of God! (Trials Are Inevitable!)

James 1:2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

  • Expect A Great Outcome!

James 5:10 As an example, brethren, of suffering and patience, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11 We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord's dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.
