Sin's Remedy! Remedy! Death! Numbers 25:7-9

1. The Death of Christ!

1 Peter 2:24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. 25 For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

2. The Death of the Old Self!

Romans 6:6 knowing this, our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; 7 for he who has died is freed from sin.

Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

What Does this Look Like in a Practical Sense?

a. Repent and believe the gospel. (Luke 15:17-19)
•  Come to your senses.
•  Confess your sin. (James 5:16)
•  Recognize your unworthiness.
•  Accept the Lord's Discipline.

b. Put on the Lord Jesus and make no provision for the flesh.
c. Crucify the deeds of the flesh by picturing yourself dead to sin.
d. Crucify the deeds of the flesh by dedicating your body to the Lord. (Romans 6)
e. Choose to keep your heart pure. (1 Timothy 1:19
f. Walk by the Spirit. (Galatians 5:16)

3. Honor Marriage!

Hebrew 13:4-5 Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge. 5 Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, " I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,"
