Be Fruitful! Parent Well! Ephesians 4:29-5:2

Malachi 4:5-6 "Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the LORD. 6 "And he will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse."

Ephesians 5 – Family Order!

1. Wives Be to Your Husbands as to the Lord!
2. Husbands Love your wives as Christ Loved the Church!
3. Dads Do Not Provoke Your Children to Anger But raise them in the fear and Admonition of the Lord!

1. Bring Your Children To God! Mark 9:16-28

Mark 10:13 And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 "Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all." 16 And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them.

2. Teach Your Children God's Word!

Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel ! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! 5 "And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart; 7 and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. 8 And you shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. 9 And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

3. Live What You Teach! Live Godly!

•  The Example of Godly Living ! The Patriarch Job

Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz , whose name was Job , and that man was blameless , upright , fearing God , and turning away from evil .

•  Be Hated By the Enemy! “Job” – To Be Hated!

2 Timothy 3:12 And indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

John 17:14 "I have given them Thy word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

•  Be Blameless! Job 29 – Undefiled, Gentle, Dear

Genesis 6:9 These are {the records of} the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.

•  Be Consistent! (To Walk Strait )

•  Fear God! Psalm 128

Proverbs 8:13 "The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way, and the perverted mouth, I hate.

•  Turn From Evil!

4. Pray For Your Children! Job 1:1-10
5. Believe Your Children Are Blessings!

Psalms 127:3 Behold, children are a gift of the LORD; The fruit of the womb is a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. 5 How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They shall not be ashamed, When they speak with their enemies in the gate.

6. Love And Receive Your Children!

Luke 15:11 (The Prodigal Son)

Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. 13 Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. 14 For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust.
